What will the process be for building our website?
We’ll arrange a meeting so you can brief us on your requirements and what your website needs to achieve for your business.

From the outset, we’ll work with you to devise a clear strategy for your website with both short- and long-term goals.

If this is your first website we may create a very basic version of the site online first to make sure you’re happy with how it will work.

The next stage is usually to create two mock-up designs for you to review. Once you’ve selected the one you prefer, we’ll work in collaboration with you to develop the design until you’re happy to sign it off.

Once this outline design has been completed, we can help you to create the content for your site, if need be, sourcing images and providing photography and copywriting services.

When all the content is ready we’ll build the site in HTML then upload it onto the internet.

The ownership of the site will transfer to you once you’ve paid for the design and development.

However, unlike a printed brochure, a website is not a one-off project. A successful site needs regular maintenance and updating.

Who owns the copyright?
Once the website is ready and you have fully paid for it you will need to let us know who the copyright should be assigned to. This may be the person who actually pays for the work, or the company itself.

Even if we provide the text for the site, through our copywriting service, the copyright will be still be transferred to you once the work has been fully paid for.

Photographs sourced from image libraries usually remain the property of the original photographer or photo library, so you must acknowledge them on your website.

Can I have more complex items such as feedback forms, password-protected pages, pricing tools, diary management and payment integration?
Anything is possible, depending on the budget and time available. Generally speaking, if you use our hosting service and have realistic timescales, we can create anything you wish on your site.

Can you manage the content of my website?
Yes. We can manage the content for you if you wish. Alternatively we can set the site up so you can manage it very easily yourself, ensuring it’s always completely up-to-date.

How long will it take to create my website?
For a standard website, we aim to get our mock-up designs to you within seven days of the initial briefing meeting, although it is often sooner. Once you’ve selected the design you prefer, we’ll work with you to develop and fine tune it.

From this point, the timescales will depend on various factors, including how quickly you can provide us with the content for the site. Once the content is ready it typically takes between 10-20 days to complete the site. For more complex sites, such as those including an e-commerce facility, the timescale is likely to be longer.

Can I change the mock-up design?
Yes, absolutely. We will continue to work on your chosen mock design until you’re completely satisfied. Of course if the brief changes considerably we may need to charge you slightly extra, but we will be very open about this at the time, should it happen.

Can I make amendments to the website?
Yes. Once the website goes live, you have seven days to request minor amendments, such as correcting grammatical errors or spelling mistakes. After the seven days have passed, we will make a maintenance charge for further changes, based on the time it takes to make them.

Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. For standard websites, we offer a no-quibble money-back guarantee in case you are dissatisfied with your website. If you chose this option, you would need to return the ownership of all designs, images and any copy we have supplied to us. These would remain the intellectual property of Imre Limited and could not be used elsewhere.

Does this money-back guarantee apply to more complex sites?
No. Where the website is more complex, including facilities such as e-commerce or advanced scripting, things become more involved. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied we would work with you to come up with a mutually satisfactory agreement.

Can you arrange hosting and domain registration?
Yes. We prefer to do this wherever possible. If we provide your hosting we can offer you very competitive prices and ensure your website’s optimum performance.

Do you offer database services?
Yes. We can handle all aspects of database design and implementation using MySQL.

Can you help with website marketing?
Yes. We have a strong track record of helping clients boost their sales through online marketing, including targeting specific markets.
